Lawyers on Twitter, the New iPod, and Marketing for Attorneys
In a September 9, 2008 article that is of interest in the marketing for attorneys world, Adrian Lurssen at JD Supra listed the 145/180 lawyers and legal professionals he follows on Twitter. Although I was not included in the initial list of 145, I am included in the subsequent list of 180 lawyers/legal professionals he follows: http://tinyurl.com/6oogwr. Apple Inc. and Steve Jobs unveiled today new versions of the iPod Nano and iPod Touch. The Nanos have an oval shape and are apparently the thinnest iPods that Apple has ever sold, at a quarter of an inch thick. According to Jobs, customers have purchased 160 million iPods since 2001. With such popularity, iPods should be of interest to those engaged in marketing for law firms and internet marketing for lawyers. More and more professional conferences are providing iPods or other MP3 players to attendees as a premium and/or content delivery mechanism; law firms could consider doing the same thing. Since clients and the general public are using iPods at record levels, it pays for lawyers and law firms to be in iTunes through legal-related podcasts. Apple's iPod and iTunes empire has profound implications for those engaged in marketing for lawyers.
